What to Do in the Event of a Claim?

1. Call the police if:

Someone is hurt.
You feel the other driver may be guilty of a criminal code offence such as drunk driving.
If there is significant property damage.
Your vehicle is not driveable.
2. Collect information and photos

Use your phone to take images of the Driver’s License, Vehicle Ownership and Insurance Card.
Make sure the names of the driver, owner, insurance company and policy number are readable.
Take pictures of vehicles and damage.
Record the date, time and location of the accident.
3. Contact nearest collision reporting center within 24 hours
If there are injuries or there is more than $2,000 in combined damage.
