What to do in the event of a claim

Auto Claims

  1. Call the police if; 
    • someone is hurt
    • you feel the other driver may be guilty of a criminal code offence such as drunk driving
    • if there is significant property damage
    • your vehicle is not driveable

  2. Collect information and photos
    • Use your phone to take images of Drivers License, Vehicle Ownership and Insurance Card.  Make sure names of the driver, owner, insurance company and policy number are readable
    • Take pictures of vehicles and damage
    • Record date, time and location of the accident

  3. Contact nearest collision reporting center within 24 hours
  4. Report the Claim to your Insurance Company
